The Sir Sid Darek 2 Scheme encourages tenants living in eligible social housing properties situated in Valletta, Senglea Xatt ir-Risq, Imtarfa, Pembroke, Tignè Sliema, and Marsaskala Qasam tal-Bujar to purchase their home and continue using it as their primary residence.
Only properties owned by the Housing Authority, or those that can be transferred from the Lands Authority to the Housing Authority, can be sold under this scheme. Applicants can transfer or sell their property after purchase, provided the subsidy is refunded.
